Import Consumer Token

Overview

This documentation guide outlines the process of importing a Portbase Consumer Token as an API Token in DocHeart. By following these steps, users can seamlessly integrate Portbase authentication into the DocHeart system, enabling secure access to Portbase services within the DocHeart environment.

Importing Consumer Token

To import the Portbase Consumer Token as an API Token in DocHeart. First log into the DocHeart web application, then navigate to the API tokens menu. You should be able to see a screen that looks similar to this:

import_api_tokens_page

To import a consumer token, press the Import API Token button in the header section of the page, as indicated below:

import_api_token_marked

Pressing the Import API Token button will open a modal that allows you to specify a name for the key. By default, the source will be Portbase, and you can enter your consumer token, as shown in the image below:

The name is only an identifier that allows you to distinguish the keys more easily. When the key is fully configured, you can press Import:

import_api_token_modal_marked

After importing the consumer token, you will now see that the new API token has been added to the table:

In the next page, we will see how to authenticate the DocHeart APIs with the Portbase consumer token.
